The First XVs season in summary

The first XV 22/23

What a rollercoaster of a season

An encouraging pre season playing Milton Keynes 2s and Basildon away set the team up for a hopeful season who looked to make an impression on many familiar opponents

Little did we know we would go on to win 7 games straight to start our season!

This far exceeded our expectations and was a massive product of all the hard work put into preseason by the squad and coaching team!

However, with a large break over Christmas due to the weather results then took a turn.

Despite an acknowledged improvement in the team through the second half of the season, results didn’t follow.

We finished our league season in 4th and though at the start of the season we would’ve taken this it’d be a lie to say we didn’t want more following our great start!

All was not lost though, the Papa Johns cup presented an opportunity to wipe the slate clean!

Vee’s managed to win two games back to back and make it to the semis and eventually bow out to Harlequins Amateurs

All in all this past season has been a massive success with a lot of goals surpassed

We now turn our attention to the 23/24 season where the lads are even hungrier for a successful season!

Up The Vee’s!
