Message Dated 16 December 2020

As a club we have taken the decision today that no fixtures are to be played at any age group at this stage in light of many surrounding areas entering Tier 3. We have taken this decision to protect you our Volunteers, players and parent / carers to help ensure that you have an enjoyable Christmas without additional risk of contracting Covid. At present the RFU advice is as below but suggests that clubs follow adult guidelines which is no travel or games within Tier 3 areas and vice versa.

"Age Grade players may, due to Government exemptions for U18s, travel across all tiers to train or play. However, to protect all involved, we strongly recommend that wherever possible training and match play follows adult guidelines."

We have also taken this decision as it seems the infection rate is surging amongst school age children and is why schools are being offered mass testing on their return in January.

Unfortunately you will need to advise any player and parents not to attend training or on Sundays if they live within a Tier 3 zone until further notice.

However we can still offer rugby training to all within a tier 2 zone as we have previously and prepare ourselves for fixtures in 2021. Hope to see you on Sunday and may i wish you all a Merry and Safe Christmas.
