GREAT NEWS

John Murfet, who donated £29,500 ( approx. £34,500 gift aided), just before Christmas has donated another £30,000 (approx. £35,000 gift aided) which is very generous and fantastic for us in further developing our club playing and social facilities. (This does not mean we should abandon our fundraising efforts.)

I am buying a big card to send to take to him and I am hoping that anyone who is at the club in the next week or so will sign it. Please make your signature small as I am expecting a good number of signatures. I will write an appropriate thank you message.

Most of you will not know John but as a player in the 60s and 70s he was a great character in the club. unfortunately he has some health problems now which means he is hospitalised. For those that did not see my pre Christmas Newsletter on the first donation. He is a share buying guru and this is why we have benefited.

We propose to present him with a some club social kit, at a lunch for him at the club in the near future. This will be with a small group of members who know him, as a big number will overawe him. If you wish to be included at this lunch please contact me asap bye email (date yet to be confirmed).
