WE ARE ON A ROLL IN THE CUP!!

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND

Vice Presidents Day was a great success with over 50 attending, ex-players from the1950s to the 2020s. Before the lunch Peter Field was given an ovation for his sterling work over nearly 60 years and was given a free ticket for drinks at the bar in future. The raffle was well supported and raised £400 for club funds.

We had a great afternoon in the two cup matches.

The 1 ST XV easily beat opponents Risborough RFC in the PAPA JOHN CUP by 72-7 and the 2 ND XV beat Harpenden 3rds by 48-7 in the Merit table competition. A good crowd supported both matches. The atmosphere in the club afterwards was great with bar closure late into the evening, and some sore heads in the morning.

This week sees the next round of the cup games both at home, 2nds starting at 2pm, against Epping Forest and Upper Clapham 2nds. The 1sts starting at 3pm. Hopefully another good day.

The minis and juniors start on a journey through the Herts Festivals, and various age group cup finals in the next few weeks, and of course their annual tours. The very best at all events.

Summer plans will soon go ahead on improvements to the club house and our pitches. Please keep looking at my news for updates.
