Under 15s: Datchworth 45 vs Welwyn & Verulamians 32

Under the floodlights in Harpenden WVs had their usual slow start to the game, and conceded two early tries. The WVs started to get back into the game with their normal strong forward play and halfway through the first half Rhys opened the try scoring picking up a loose ball in the centre of the pitch and breaking past several tackle attempts, cutting in from the wing to putting the ball down between the posts. This was followed by a plethora of tries from both Datchworth and WVs with Dylan S aggressive forward runs paying dividends and going over the line, Paul and Alphie scoring before half time, with the score 33 - 22 to Datchworth.

The WVs put on a fantastic second half performance with Rhys holding off a number of players to go over the line despite Datchworth trying to hold him up.

Datchworth managed to burst through a few more times with two particular players dictating the play and the scoring, but later on in the second half Jack laid the ball out wide for Joe to run over the line and score again for the WVs.

Special mention to Alphie S for his continuing bursts and terrific tackling through the whole game.
